ABOUT THE MINISTRY

Laura-Valentine was born and immediately abandoned in 1996 in Wanzai, China. Thankfully she was adopted before she was one year-old into a loving American family.

It was during her first mission trip to Uganda when she was 14 that she faced the reality of what her life might have been like had she not been adopted. It was a painful, stark reality; learning and seeing the cruel things that happened to kids who are abandoned and aren't adopted.

Laura-Valentine was faced with a deep internal struggle, like the one survivor of a plane crash: "Why Me?" "Why was I adopted?, "Why am I so important that I was adopted and these kids were not?"

Laura-Valentine remembers all the kids in Uganda, and throughout the world, who don't have a family and knows now why she was 'chosen' -- It's to help bring hope and love to these children.
